Description
This is sunrise on the Folly Beach Pier in Folly Beach South Carolina. This 1,045-ft. fishing pier with a tackle shop is a busy destination with scenic ocean views.
Ah, Folly Beach Wooden Pier, the rustic gem of South Carolina. With its weathered planks and sweeping ocean views, this pier has been drawing in fishermen, tourists, and Instagrammers alike for decades. But let's not forget the locals who have been strolling this boardwalk since they were knee-high to a sand crab. It's an epicenter of community socializing and weekend fun, complete with live music events and seafood shacks aplenty. Plus, if you're lucky, you might just catch a glimpse of some dolphins frolicking in the waves below—otherwise known as nature's own version of a dolphin show. Whether you're in the mood for casting a line or simply admiring the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean from above the waterline, Folly Beach Wooden Pier is an essential pitstop on any trip to the Charleston area.
Breathtaking views of the "Edge of America" are just some of the possibilities at the Edwin S. Taylor Folly Beach Fishing Pier, where you can find some of the best saltwater fishing in the area. The pier stretches 1,045 feet into the sparkling waters of the Atlantic Ocean, and at 25 feet wide and 23 feet above sea level, the pier is the second longest on the east coast.

Wonderful work Steve! Folly Beach.... it's that where that dilapidated lighthouse is? =)
Steve Rich replied:
Thank you Brenda, the Morris Island Lighthouse is not far from Folly Beach. The Morris Island Lighthouse is not used anymore, but is lit once a year for a short period of time.
